The only dammn thing I hate about this place is , the parking it really sucks & not only for patients but for staff as well , I mean it's so bad that sometimes I even really dread coming there because of the parking Nazis , they are always patrolling hardcore especially that area , I even once got a damn parking ticket and it wasn't even my vehicle that I was driving , I should have been never ticketed anyways , I've also been in the vehicle because I got there a little bit early and the damn parking us he came right up to the vehicle and talked to tires even though I was right in the vehicle , and when I said something about it they just completely ignored me there was a man and a woman patrolling that area and they Mark the damn tires anyways , complete bullshit and I don't feel that patience who come there should have to deal with all of that stress added to their lives or whoever is nice enough to give the person a ride also & for the staff as well , other than that issue everything else is fine that's why I gave a 5-star rating , because it's not their fault , they just didn't plan that out very well , but I do love that day combined both of their services into one building that does make it very nice and easier I feel for everyone , I just really wish that they could do something about the parking may be like passes for people that are patients that are getting rides for the staff even you know maybe they could talk to the city or something and see if they can make just out front there they can make that area just for people that are coming there I don't know what else could be done that have no parking lot , so please please please can someone do something about this problem ????????????? Honestly it would make life so much better for all !!!

While my first therapist was horrible and it was clear I was put in the wrong type of therapy, my second (and current) one is very helpful and listens to me, even understanding that I know a lot about my particular issues. I know the head psychiatrist seems to be nice, and appears to legitimately care. Staff in general seems okay (besides a few bad eggs like afore mentioned therapist). I've only been in outpatient however so I'm not familiar with other programs here.

Excellent, caring, individualized care. Dr. Palouse is the most caring psychiatrist I've found (and I have seen several) He genuinely cares and listens!!!

I have been admitted to multiple psychiatric hospitals around Michigan. This one was by far the most helpful, in terms of staffing. Despite this they were still very much a typical psychiatric hospital and had many of the same problems as all the others. Many of the staff were actually quite supportive but their psychiatrists were a joke, and looked very little at patient history and seemed to be excessive in their use of medications, most of which had to be discontinued after the hospital and actually made me worse for awhile until I could see my normal doctor who took me off them.

Honestly, they turned my life around. Before being inpatient I did not feel like a person, and my suicidal tendencies had reached an all time high. It took them a long time to get me into inpatient, but I assume that was just because they were being thorough and wanted to make the best possible decision they could. Inpatient care was amazing. All of their groups, activities, and staff went above and beyond any expectations I had previously. Staff spent hours listening and going out of their way to get me the help that I needed. The food was okay, and everyone I was with endlessly complained. But for being mass produced food it was pretty good. I will forever recommend this place to people in need of their services.
